I know that we had this posted someplace. Here's some info on carriers:
Specialty Insurance Agency. I looked at their website and it's hard to find info about policies. The policies run from September to August and it's roughly $350 per year. You really need to wait until September in order to get your money's worth. I have a friend who is insured through them and he says they are excellent. Center West Insurance Agency. Tel 800-455-6974. centerwestinsurance@lanset,com I saw their ad in Craftmaster and looked at their website but didn't see anything about specific policies. Recommend emailing them for info.
RLI Home Business Insurance. This looks like it might be decent. Check it out.
CSI Entertainment Insurance. Insurance Program For: Vendors, Exhibitors, Crafter's, Artists This program is designed for the person selling or demonstrating products at expos, fairs, festivals, trade shows, special events, conventions, malls, etc. Our program is easy to access with very competitive rates, broad coverage and with a quick turnaround
FilmIns.com Annual Vendors and Exhibitors Insurance This insurance program offers protection for exhibitors, vendors, and concessionaires at multiple events throughout the year. These events include tradeshows, festivals, fairs and other similar activities. There is no cap on the number of attending persons at any one of the events for you to be covered.
The Hartford. 800) 447-7649 I don't know the website for this, but you can call them. Perhaps policies are in the $500 range?

Some State Farm agents will also write the policies for $25.00 to $27.00 per month. Seems like a good policy for the money.

Believe it or not, I use my homeowners policy. Farmer's. I just fax or email my info to them and they fax the certificate to the event. Check with you homeowners carrier to see if they cover you. Mine is no extra charge. Sorry for not responding sooner, my internet service out here is bad. Might not get on for a couple days or if I get on I get disconnected after 2-3 minutes so I am not able to check the forum very long.
You might try the one that Mark has.....he has it listed in another thread someplace. Do not pay more than $350 for a one-year policy.

Just to let some people know that we have another tread with liability insurance info: davejs.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=fees&action=display&thread=124That thread does contain a lot of info on insurance, but it would be a good idea if we could keep all future info on insurance in THIS thread. I will probably move that thread over here, but I want to figure out what this thread will look like when that happens.

I use AJS Insurance out of Lake Havasau, AZ.
Cost: $135.00 for year, This is an unlimited 1 million dollar liability policy for you craft business. Customer Service: They are great at adding policies when needed and will fax the policy info directly to the vendor at your request. Would recommend this company to any vendor seeking a commercial vendor policy.

I would like to give 2 THUMBS UP to The afore mentioned:
AJsinsurance.com
Can I add.
Talk To TRACY at 928-855-3081 X2300. She is a fellow Arizona vendor and understands the needs, wants, troubles, and requirements of vendors. The quote she gave me was reasonable and for all 50 states. No certificate charge. Yearly start dates as YOU need it, not by cycle as some I've seen.

For myself, as a "manufacturer's representative", (IE I don't make anything, & not a crafter) it would be $350.00 a year beginning when I needed it to start, & covering ALL 50 states, for 1 million dollars liability. The quotes I've been getting back are WILD. Between $550.00 to $2,300.00+. The one you initially mentioned (Specialty Insurance) looked good too, but it would cost me $280.00 to get on the band wagon this year and then $350.00 in September when all policies renew. My biggest concern is their new policy date falls right during show times, and I have to prove insurance before I can even get in. They had lesser priced insurances, but wouldn't cover 2 states that I had planned on doing shows in. I have apps in all over up here in the Northern region so who knows...

I just got Specialty Insurance last year... it was super easy to set up and you can request certificates online. I've signed up for a few insured shows already, so hoping I get my money's worth.

Specialty Insurance in Wisconsin is by far the best. Easy and cheap.

Had K&K for years before discovering Specialty Insurance. K&K kept adding stipulations, charging for square footage, etc. Finally, enough was enough and I was lucky to find Specialty Insurance through a friend.

Like I said in my previous post. I didn't go with Specialty because the dates didn't run well with my schedule, and beng I had to grab insurance before my June show, I would have had to pay a higher prorated number and then again in September for the whole year. It would have landed mid stride at the Texas State Fair and I didn't need them to panic about lapsing insurance. I forgot to mention that I received my policy from AJ's and I am insured through Hartford. I've had to add names several times and never once have I had any issues or extra charges. Not saying anything bad about Specialty. It just didn't work in my situation.
