I have just added areas to input shows from other states. This may be a good idea or maybe not. I hope not to clutter up the board with too many topics, but it's a good idea to separate the comments by geographic areas. We'll test this out for a couple weeks and see what happens.

Dave, instead of a topic for state and date, maybe state topic with dates as subtopic. That might keep it a little cleaner.
I think it is a great idea. Current users are providing lots of good stuff. I certainly will be filling up the Oregon topic...
Are you going to combine the state event topics under the new headings, or do you feel they are ok in the Main Board area. Might not be so bad to include the "shows you are going to do" with the reviews of "the shows you did" to avoid some confusion and potential redundancy.
Just some thoughts to go along with your great job of administration of the forum.

I am sure you have seen the changes. Sometimes I do things bass ackwards!! Looks good. Provide the dates as you go along. I tried to move the individual messages to the Oregon, etc., threads but I couldn't. Same with Arizona. I looked through everything and I do not think it can be done.

Yep - looking better!
I copied my 8/15 & 8/22 events to the new folder to get it started...
I don't know why the messages wouldn't be able to be moved - it seems that admins move messages all the time. I looked on ProBoards support forum, couldn't find anything that would help...

I'll have to really scrutinize this thing. I can move entire threads but not the individual messages. Maybe I am having a bad hair day.

If nothing else works, you should be allowed to modify any user's posting and do a copy, paste and delete. Which I did with my postings - without the delete.

Hold off on that delete until you're very sure of the copy/paste part because you can't recover the post once you enter modify.

In my talks with other vendors in Az and Ca., many were headed East to NM, TX. so if you could add a few Easterly directions, I would appreciate it. I have to head East then North to get back for my seasonal job, so ANYTHING that I might be able to stop and do coming or going to Az. ~could be~ a plus for me. Anywhere that the economy isn't hit as hard as Ca NV and Az. Thanks!

Besides. If I hapen to be that direction, I wouldn't mind being the eyes and ears for any of you that might want to head that way for a "work vacation" trip.

Thanks! i hear similar comment from other vendors. it is hard to find the right place to sell. i sell in Az in winter months mainly for the snowbirds. i am still searching a place to sell during the summer. i heard anywhere is better than California because of severe competition. i do not like to set up and take them down everyday but if i have no other choice, then i still have to do it as this is my main source of income. wish us luck!

I find that the economy in places like Texas, Kansas, etc. hasn't seemed to take a beating like AZ.CA. has. Though factors like flooding and crops have alot to do with a peson parting from their money. Last year, my seasonal cafe absolutely bombed. I shut it down after 3 weeks and stuck to campground sales after. HARD HARD Market. Not one to take lightly.
