Do any of us submit reviews to Craftmaster. When I am looking for shows, I love to read what other's have to say. Don't we all. But many times are there no reviews for that particular show we want to do. We all have enough sense to take these reviews with a grain of salt, but they do give us insight into some of the sows. I found a few quite hilarious and I'll start a new thread to put some of the real stupid or funny comments in.
We all (subscribers) need to submit reviews to the publication when we have a chance and you can go back a couple years and tell about past year's, also.
Has anybody else around here been submitting reviews to them. Are you interested in telling us which reviews you have submitted?
Recently, I have submitted one's for Jefferson County Fair in Madras, OR. Hayward Zucchini Festival, Salida Town and Country Parade and Festival. I just did Tillamook County Fair (OR) and that one should show up in a few days.
I have read a number of reviews in Craftmaster that have highly pursuaded me not to do particular shows. People usually tell the truth, but sometimes you have to analyze the review and read between the lines.
I encourage people to submit reviews. You need not tell how much you made nor do you need to mention your products. Quite often the promoter's do read what has been written or they have been told by other's what people have written, good or bad. When the word gets out about particular events the people running them might attempt changes or could end up being more receptive to vendor's needs. Might even lower the fees. Who knows. Sure, if you are not going to do a certain event again because it was so bad, you just want to move on. Please fight back. If EVERY VENDOR did his or her job, then we can have some effect on a good number of shows and hopefully, get rid of the money-hungry, inconsiderate people running the events. On the other hand, it's nice to get a 'seal of approval' from other vendor's on shows that we are interested in doing.
How about it people? Can we win this battle? Can we all do our parts?
