I put up one of my favorite shots as the banner and stuck on the name of our forum. Yesterday when I was experimenting with it, the image took up the entire screeen. Whoa. So, I worked with it for awhile and that's what I came up with.
Here's what I have in mind. I mentioned starting a gallery in Photobucket for all of us (actually, privileged members) to post pictures of shows, locations, etc. Of course, I do not advise posting shots of our A&C people's products. Do not want to give outsiders any ideas on making things our members spend long hours on.
I would like to create a 'collage' of member's photos from that Photbucket album eventually and put that up as our banner. I want to extend it as far as I can across the top of the page and hopefully push the wording that we all see up there down a couple lines. Actually. I would love to get rid of their google advertising....THAT is not mine and that is what we have to put up with unless we are willing to shell out $7.00 per month to make this ad free.
There is no way to get into the software used on Pro-Board's forums to change things around. I am sure that we all would come up with loads of ideas if that were the case. But we are limited as what we can do with the board. However, I have looked at other boards and there are some unusual displays and I am trying to research how they did it if we can't dig into the actual software. I have experimented with various 'skins' etc., but you are limited to what you can actually do.
