TILLAMOOK COUNTY FAIR application for 2010 arrived. Anybody want it before I toss it? They upped the booth fee to $350. No way. They said it was their best fair ever. You had better speak to the vendors about that one. They claim to have gotten 26,000 on Saturday, the last day and 75,000 for the whole show. No way, dude. Uh uh. Where the hell were they? Were you counting the cows? I really doubt it especially since it rained during the early afternoon. Come on people, who the hell are you kidding? Another souped up attendance figure for Craftmaster. Not a single vendor would believe that!!!

May is all Oregon for me...
May 15-16 Gold Beach Art & Wine. This is a handmade fair with wine tasting. It's very well organized and the quality of crafts is high. Really fun to do and only $100. My sales haven't been that great... there are just not enough people I guess, even though they are really nice and appreciate good crafts. But both times I've done it, I've snagged wholesale accounts with local shops. So, that alone is worth my trip... to deliver a wholesale order. Also, they let you camp behind the event center, which is right on the beach! Plenty of gorgeous river camping too.
Memorial Weekend - This year I'm trying the Brookings Azalea Festival. I'm doing the indoor handmade show, but there is also mixed street fair that goes all 3 days. I've heard mixed reviews... but it's been going on for a million years, I love the area, and it's relatively close to me. The show I normally do has just been too slow, gotta try something new.

I've been confirmed for the Eugene Art & the Garden over 4th of July weekend. This is the first handmade only 4th of July show I've found, so I'm excited. It's huge and lasts 3 days.
Hopefully, this will be the first stop on my Mermaid Tour to ND...
