Does anyone know of any fairs or festivals or carnavals for the month of december that are held during the night? Hi ledheads. Welcome to the board. Can you be specific as to the location that you are interested in? I know of none out here that are held at night. There are a number of events around that do extend slightly into the 'dark' hours. Actually, you picked the wrong time of the year to be looking for events like this at night. During the summertime, there are loads of county fairs that run until around mid-night.

On the 12th of December they are having the Festival Of Lights at the Oxnard Harbor. It will be from noon until 9 p.m., is this what you are looking for?

Throughout the Los Angeles area, there are about 20 to 30 per year, but I think they are all done by now. They are mainly held largely in the big hispanic areas. The guy's name is Ted Holcomb. I hope to be doing one or two of his shows this coming year. These carnavals last all day and into the night, usually for a 3 or 4 day stretch. You can e-mail him at: tedhulk@msn.com or call him at: (562)799-7737. I talked to him before he's nice guy. His rates are around $300-$400 per 10x10 space (depending on which festival), but they last from 11am until 11pm or later.

Ok, I found his website again. Its at: www.fiestadecarnival.com/index.html You can see the list of all the events he does each year. The last one, however, was in October. Dave is right, though. I think all of the fairs and carnivals have ended for the year.
