The Eagle has landed. Arrived in Tyson this afternoon around 2:45PM Arizona time. Was raining when I left Hayward, but stopped by the time I reached Livermore. No fog anyplace. Trip down was good. No traffic anyplace. Look for my updates on the website starting perhaps tomorrow. Tired. Got the canopy and stuff set up and now have everything inside there with my covers up. One of my better drives down here.

Glad you made it safely. I thought of you early this morning and was so glad that there was NO fog!!! Where are you getting internet at there? Friends of mine will be there later this month and I know they would love to get online while there.

Reporting to you LIVE FROM SPACE X-19 at Tyson Wells Sell-a-Rama. Have my motor home positioned next to my space just for one night until everybody else starts arriving. Got here safely. Smooth trip down here. I have Internet, but it's one of these WiFi things I purchased at Best Buy that utilizes the Verizon phone service. Works okay, but expensive. There are other wireless services here that are undependable and cost perhaps $2.95-$4.95 per day. Did that last year and it was terrible. Drove me bananas. You can read my daily log on the website. www.starvingvendors.com/events_Tyson_Wells_Sellarama_2010.html

Ok, I think I need that. Is this what you have?
Cradlepoint - Cellular Travel Router for Most Cell Phones
Can you tell me how it works with Verizon? I am sure you have to pay Verizon for using it correct? By the way it has been raining here since last night.......

It uses the Verizon cell phone towers. However, it has nothing to do with connecting your phone to it. The USB connection costs $139 and it's a little thing that plugs into your USB port. You then sign up for whatever Internet service you want. I chose the $50 one because I will be on-line a lot and that is for one-month of access. They have different plans for 7-day and 14. It seems to work fine out here and you get access wherever they have Verizon. Good out here so it'll probably work mostly anyplace. Whoops...... I have a Verizon cell phone and I had problems up in Mount Shasta. No need to worry because this might be the only time I am using this.

Dave, Thanks... this is something I am going to look into, especially for the months I have shows every weekend. The only thing I miss in the trailer is my internet. If I go to Best Buy are they going to be able to explain all of this to me? By the way, I have Verizon also and Springville is also a no service area.

If I go to Best Buy are they going to be able to explain all of this to me? By the way, I have Verizon also and Springville is also a no service area. Susie They'll probably be able to give you a good explantion. My son is the one that told me all about it so I just ran inside Best Buy and grabbed it and paid for it and left. My son installed it and signed me up for one month. With each plan, you are allowed to download XXX number of MB. I forgot what it is. So I try not to read pages with a lot of images, etc. .... like some of my reviews with lots of pictures? That really eats up my allotment. What happens if you exceed that amount? $$$$$ It seems to be working pretty good over here. I'd recommend it if you want to spring for the bucks AND money was no issue to you. $139. I pay $50 for the one-month plan and they have other plans for a week or whatever but you really have to analyze if it's worth it spending XXX number of dollars per day for the internet. Surely won't use it when I am home. I am not going to sign up to use it just for a 2-3 day weekend trip since the motel would likely have some sort of WiFi.

HI! I sold in 2009 at the shows at Tyson Wells. Initially I was just gong to hang for the 1st show, and move to the big tent after, but Kym and Charlie were so kind to me, I stayed. I am sickened to see your canopy and stock all over the place! I would have been there in a heartbeat to help you! I sold at the Big Tent & watched in horror in 2008 when it collapsed from 80+mph wind. I have pictures of it as it billowed up and then fell down. Thankfully we started chucking everything into the RV and got out of there. It was a mess to organize after, but we were safe. I will be back in 2010. I'll be in a permanent space behind "TRINAS". There is no way that I could possibly move the metal signs and stuff like I did in 2008. (4 times!!!) Hope to see you there! Oh, by the way, I also have the Verizon wireless. Used it faithflly in Tyson Wells, I could open my credit card terminal on my computer and it stayed on all day!
