I used to live in Big Bear and just wanted to give you a viewpoint from a resident. I wouldn't even bother with most any show that is up there. (1) there is little to No parking anywhere, be it in the village, or near the airport. Whenever these events go on, the residents stay away from town like it had the plague, even taking alternate routes to get to the store or out of town. MANY a time we all left town that weekend just to not have to hassle with the traffic jams, and lines. (2) the promoters charged outrageous fees and didn't seem to care what you sold, or how many there were. (3) Motel 6 was the cheapest place to stay and 7 years ago it was over 75.00 a night. (weekend rate was 89.00)! Beautiful, historical, quaint, but not one I would ever recommend! (though I have never SOLD at a venue here.)
