for posting my No Bull offering (I've been thrown out of lower class places for significantly less), I thought I'd post the next installment in the BBQ tour
Oh and this is in lovely Stockton, CA!
Do you think you have what it takes to take on a TV cook? Well here’s your chance to throwdown with one @ the 2nd Annual Way Out West BBQ Championship July 3, 2010 Weber Point Events Center. Come and compete against last year’s Way Out West BBQ Champion and star of TLC’s BBQ Pitmasters television series, Harry Soo of Slap Yo Daddy BBQ. All competitors are welcome; a BBQ team can consist of an individual or a group. You do not have to be a professional or a member of any barbeque association to enter. All you need is the determination to compete against other barbeque teams, and a willingness to take on Harry Soo!
If you preference is more on the enjoyment of these delectable and smoky delights rather than tending the fire, we’ve got you covered there too. Join us on July 3, 2010 at the 2nd Annual Way Out West BBQ Championship held at the Weber Point Events Center – tasting begins @ 11am. Come with an intense appetite, and enjoy great entertainment, a classic car show, and of course the many flavors from the local chefs and BBQ teams.
The 2nd Annual Way Out West BBQ Championship is being held in conjunction with the 3rd Annual Taste of San Joaquin in Weber Point in Downtown Stockton. Taste is the premier San Joaquin celebration of everything local; local entertainment, local food, regional wine and the West Coast’s best BBQ! All proceeds from this event benefit local businesses, local charities and the improvement of Downtown Stockton.
Non-Food Vendors WANTED! We figure space for ~60 vendors total.
Last year we has 7,500 ppl or so (most of which paid $1 admission, this year the gate will also be reasonable <$5), we expect to double the attendance this year (we were something like 400% over the prior year).
10 x 10 = $100 before 6/6/10, $140 after
10 x 20 = $175 before 6/6/10, $215 after
