I did this festival this past March26th, 27th & 28th. I decided at the last minute to go down to the LA area and try it, since there was nothing else going on. I haven't been down there for a few years and love it there. It turned out to be a much smaller fest than expected. I at least broke even on all my expenses, which was satisfactory for me since it was my first time out. I got to know a few new vendors down there, and several did not break even, and they were from the area! Some from Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, etc. That really surprised me. Ted Holcomb, the promoter, expected it to be much bigger he said, but for some reason the people just didn't turn out. I figure there was about 8,000 to 10,000 over the 3 days. I plan to do another show or two down there next year and will be sure to pick much bigger shows instead of his, which are mostly in the poorer hispanic neighborhoods. At least I enjoyed myself there and the weather was nice and hot all 3 days, and in late March!
