I learned this weekend that an AMERICAN manufacturing company (started in 1897!) was unable to come to negotiations with John Deere's demands so they could continue to make signs, license plates, etc... WHY?? John Deere wants to have control as to who THEY sell the items to after manufacture, and that means to ONLY branded dealerships and stores. This company would sell to distributors and they would sell to retailers who had a valid resale license. John Deere has decided that they don't want their products making it into flea markets and so on, because it gives them a bad image........ Hate to point this out, but...Wake up John Deere! Jeopardizing the livelihood of the 90 employees who work for this AMERICAN company, which displaces and jeopardizes numerous AMERICAN distributors and hard working AMERICAN retailers like myself... THAT will give you a BAD name faster than where your brand ~might~ be found! The royalties have been paid BY US ALL. This has just set me the wrong way!
