Did the Anaheim Fiesta De Carnival this past weekend and its a good event. Its held in the huge parking lot of the Anaheim Marketplace where its mostly mexicans with shops in a HUGE indoor swap meet-type building. However, its very clean in there but really tight as most of the shops are crammed in there. Must be hundreds of 'em! Lots of little restaurants, too. Anyway, its in the parking lot where the carnival and vendors are. Rodeway Inn right next to Disneyland is the cheapest at $38 per night. Not the best room, but microwave, fridge, mostly clean. The only annoyance was the room was supposed to be non-smoking, but stunk of previous smoke. Booth fee was $300 for a 10x10 but the fest was 4 days: Thurs. & Fri. 5pm to 11pm, Sat. & Sun. from 1pm to 11pm. Believe it or not, Thurs. was the BUSIEST night! Because they had $1 carnival rides, it brought the people out. Sat. was good but not until after 5pm, and Sunday was much better. I'll be going down there again for the South Gate Fiesta (same promoter). He said its a little bigger and also a good show. I didn't see much other vendors except for carnival-type entertainment-type booths. Only a few selling clothes, videos, CD's, or jewelry. Absolutely NOTHING going on in northern Ca., which is why I went down there! Weather was good all 4 days except for Sunday night, it started to rain lightly off and on starting at around 8pm., but didn't "hurt" too badly.
