We have a big banner to put up this year and I am looking at the sky banner frame at www.canopiesbyfred and www.ezup4u. Fred's is less expensive. Anyone have any suggestions on others or how to make your own?

Anyone have any suggestions on others or how to make your own? I do believe that a lot of people make their own. Looks like Fred is selling his '10-ft sky banner frame' for $69.00. I imagine that you can pick up two-10ft poles someplace along with the two end connectors for around $10-15? I guess you could check in Galt for the poles, etc. or San Jose Flea Market. There's a guy that sells canopy parts over there (SJFM) at end closest to the Berryessa Entrance. Maybe row M? Can't miss him. I can't recall who has them over in Galt (Tuesdays).

I ended up buying 3- 1/2" X 10' metal electrical conduit at Home Depot for $1.80 ea. 2 corner connectors at $4.00 ea. then they would not fit in my 8' trailer so I had to cut the 10' pieces in half and get 3 straight connectors. It worked great, I leave the corners connected and they slip though the canvas loops on the front of our ez-up, then just hand tighten the straight connectors and hang the banner.
Before raising the ez-up I slipped the corner connected pieces through the canvas loops, connected the top straight connector, hung the top of the banner, then raised the ez-up and connected the conduit legs & bungied the bottom of the banner. I did not secure the bottom of the legs to the ez-up for the first event and it was fine even with a breeze but will in the future in case of a stronger wind. If I had the room I would also prefer to have the top piece not to have been cut it did sag slightly.
