A friend called a woman who puts on a craft show at her farm in Southern California three times a year. The conversation goes something like this: Do you have space? Yep..... money is tight this year so people are not paying as early When is your cut off date? (show is 3 days over Thanksgiving) Well I don't have one but my hubby said November 1st would be a good one Ok...... Can we park our RV there? Yep...... Now what kind of crafts do you sell? Wood What kind of Wood? I tole paint Paint it yourself? I am not letting no China things into my show and this is MY show.. Do you have any jewelry? No Good because we have enough of that and they sit there and make it so the customers know it is made by hand, you sure you don't have any jewelry? Yes.... Magnetic Jewelry? No, no jewelry Good because I don't believe in that jewelry and this is MY show and I pick what I want....... send me pictures of your stuff.. not saying you will get in but I will let you know...... My friend hung up speechless and let me tell you......... it takes alot for her to be speechless.

Considering signing up for the car show thng in Salinas. Found this in the application: I don't think I've heard it said like that.
The Commercial Exhibitor acknowledges that failure to pay for the balance of the payment by the stated due date ,will cause CHERRY'S JUBILEE to incur costs not contemplated by this Agreement, the exact amount of such costs being extremely difficult and impracticable to fix. Such costs include, without limitation, processing and accounting charges. The parties agree that forfeiture of deposit represents a fair and reasonable estimate of the costs that CHERRY'S JUBILEE will incur by reason of the failure of the Commercial Exhibitor to pay the balance of the payment by the stated due date.
