I have never really had much of a theft issue in my booth. I sell clothing, not as steal-easy as say, jewelry I guess.
I live up in Humboldt county, CA, so I travel for most of my shows. But I have 3 big shows I do locally each year. Two of them I have done for 9 years each. Last summer someone stole a jacket (my most expensive item) from each of these two shows. Both taken from the front of my booth in the middle of the day. One of them actually managed to remove the jacket from my mannequin without me noticing, in the middle of a busy show. Even my booth neighbor, who was working in view of the mq all day didn't see a thing.
Amazing! I have to suspect it is the same person, just too coincidental. At first I started to rearrange my setup etc... but then I thought no. I'm not going to mess up my entire booth for some jerk. It's their karma, not mine.
I am really mad, though, that I now have to eye people with suspicion in a way I never have before.
