Hi all- new here...
Do you like to Barbeque? On May 8, The Morgan Hill Chamber of Commerce and the Kansas City Barbeque Society are teaming up for the 1st Annual Barbecue Cook Off. If you like to cook or eat barbecue, this is the event for you.
The event will take place outdoors at the Morgan Hill Community and Culture Center. It will feature live music by KRTY, along with over $5,000 in prizes. There is no fee to attend, so bring your friends and family for some finger licking festivities.
Vendor spaces are $110 for 10 x 10, and it's getting a huge amount of radio airplay (real commercials!) on KRTY. Admission free to the public.
Show hours are 10am-6pm Saturday May 8, 2010

I might even consider doing it. I did the Strawberry Festival in Roseville last year and left after the first day so I (among others) are looking for a show that weekend.

I think they are looking for ~50 non-food vendors. It's the Sat just before Mom's day. It's @ the Morgan Hill Cultural and Community Center maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=morgan+hill+community+cneter&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=42.310334,78.574219&ie=UTF8&hq=morgan+hill+community+cneter&hnear=&ll=37.126219,-121.649506&spn=0.001305,0.002398&t=h&z=19&iwloc=A (so neither a park or a street) Not sure on drive up...contact the MH Chamber on that one. PH on app below. www.mhnobullbbq.com/forms/vendor%20form-2.0.pdf Link to the app P.S. I went to the Placerville Strawberry Fest about 10 years ago, wasn't much from a spectator perspective then, sorry to see it hasn't developed further.

I've done the Mushroom Mardis Gras a couple times and that's a good buying crowd. Good area. I'll probably do your event on Mother's Day Weekend. I think that we have several people on this board who could end up there also. I'm sure they will be in touch. There is not a good selection of shows on that weekend and I surely do not want to do the Strawberry Festival. BTW, you went to the 'old' one; this is called the NEW Strawberry Festival. Johny5 is considered a good promoter and respected by a good number of vendors. BUT anything is Roseville is bad. No money. That show is held at the fairgrounds and is quite spread out. ALL THE VISITORS do not cover the entire show especially if it is hot during the day. A very bad show with little hope. This is a wide open space AND were in an area with 3 other booths and we were really squeezed in and you also had to walk up a step to get to the 4 booths. Terrible. I just looked at Craftmaster News and I didn't see a listing for your show. If you are looking for vendor's, I highly recommend that you submit your listing. Here is a link for you to use: www.craftmasternews.com/EventListingForm.aspxMany vendors subscribe to that publication and it is the best around. You will get vendors!! Best of luck with the event. I'll put your information for the show on the Upcoming Events page on the website.
