What is the number that you use to judge if a show is worth doing or not? Do you have a goal, minimum expected, average daily number, dollar amount, percentage of profit realized, average dollar per hour, etc. that helps you to decide? There has to be a different formula for judging a single day show vs a week long show.
I heard vendors talking at the Big Show that it was common to have your venue paid in full by 3 days into the middle show, and then the rest of it, and all of the 3rd show would be your profit.
I haven't done any of the "single event weekend venues" before (but have 1 this next weekend) so I have no way to judge if it is worth while... That is, other than making a profit...

It's all so subjective, some people think 10 times the booth fee is a good show, but how about if the fee is really small? Some people would be happy making a hundred bucks, and others would think a grand would be too small. Laura

Thanks for the reply. I know it might be hard to make figures on different shows and different crowds. I wish I had a better formula for judging some of these shows. 10 times space rent would be WOOHOO!!! Though economic times have hit everyone! Thanks again. Anyone else want to chime in, please do!
