Do you give a discount to fellow vendors? If they tell me that they are vendor's, I usually do. Also, if I see that the person is a Senior Citizen, I will knock off a couple bucks.
If yes, what / how much / what percentage ? $2-3
Do you expect a discount when buying from a fellow vendor? I have tried asking food vendors for a little discount, but they usually say no. There are a couple (and not many more than that) that I know that will give me a little discount or pile on the food. And then I have somebody is always giving me free food but I only see them a couple times during the year. But when they come to my booth my wife either give's them something for free or discounts them.
Do you ask for a discount if one is not offered to you? Usually not but a lot of times when I am pretty good friend's with that particular vendor, they will know a few bucks off. .

It depends. If it's someone who I know, or I've been visiting with, or they make a point of asking... I will usually give a standard $5 off or 20%. If they don't ask, or I don't really know them, I don't offer. Unless I'm doing really great in sales, then I feel like I should spread it around and I might offer (esp if I know they aren't doing as well).
I came up with a standard discount after years of awkwardness around this. Many times I'd have a vendor make a nice purchase, then afterward feel badly for not thinking of a discount. Or I'd get caught off guard when someone would ask, and not know what to say. So I just came up with $5 or 20%. For most of my stuff $5 is about 20% and it's and easy number to offer up. If someone gets an outfit or something spendy, I might go for the 20%. This goes for customers as well. Then I just don't have to think.
I never expect a discount when buying from another vendor. I never ask. I might mention that I'm a vendor just in case they want to do something for me... but that's it. Or sometimes I'll ask if they want to barter, if I know them or if the item I want is spendy.

Whenever I stop by a booth, I usually ask them how they are doing. I'll give my response to their answer. If I buy something from them, they might offer me a discount, but I hardly ever ask. But you know what? I seldom buy anything, except for food. I have gotten to be like everybody else; if I don't need it, I don't buy. I guess the only things I ever buy are those cheap $5 watches, $5 sunglasses and cheap socks.

I'm with you guys... I rarely buy anything. Least of all food. Sometimes I will buy pottery... and beer. At a slow show I will buy beer.
I do barter fairly often, though not as much as I used to. I have a few friends who make jewelry and glass beads and we love to trade. I don't trade for things I don't want... but since I rarely buy things for myself, I like to pick up handmade goodies from time to time. And gifts.

I dont really buy much. Never was one to keep things. But I do give discounts and I like to get rid of my inventory so I usually sell for cheap. And when and if I do buy I dont ask for a discount. I figure they are trying to make a living like me...

We have always given discounts to other vendors and have even received them when not set up by dealers that recognized us. I think the best one was when We were doing flea markets and foster care , one of the teenagers asked for money to buy a sweatshirt . I gave Her $ 15. and She promptly came back bitching that the hoodie She wanted was $ 18.00 . I gave her a $ 20 and She took off , Our Daughter followed Her. At the booth , Frank said Hi Cheryl , can I get You something , Yea My " Sister " wants to buy a hoodie , it took him a second to realize it was one of our foster kids , He grabbed the hoodie She wanted , took Her $ 20 and gave Her the bag and Her change . You should of heard the language when she got back to our booth and realized He had given Her $ 12.00 back . ;D Bandit
