Anyone done this show? I have heard that there are two shows, one at the fairgrounds and one at the park and both are great. Hubby and I are planning on going up to visit it this Memorial Day. Any experiences there?

I am afraid to comment!!! MY youthful rememberences have been shattered by adult reality..... When I was young, we went to the fair, and had a great time. (My dad won $50.00 by betting on a very stubborn mule!) I would say that there was nothing else going on during the fair, and it seemed that EVERYONE, both residents and vacationers, went for entertainment. Now, we were vacationing, and I know we looked at all sorts of things, but as far as what my parents bought, I don't think it was much. This was when the Mule Days was held in July, when the Orange County Fair was going on, and we had a months vacation. If you do the show, please let me know how it went.

I am not doing the show this year but do plan on going to see what it is like. I have a friend who does it and says it is one of the best shows around! There are two shows, one at the Fairgrounds, which is mostly western items and one at the park. Of course the one in the park is not as expensive as the one at the fairgrounds. Again, this is suppose to be a hand made only show so we will see. Hubby wanted to get a motel when we go until I looked at motel prices..... we will drive there and back in one day. A Comfort Inn is showing 239.00 per night. Vendors must not be motel rooms..... I never knew Mule Days were held in July...... that must have been a long time ago!
