How's the fuel prices out there? I just heard from my fuel deliverer/distributor that my price will be at least 22 cents a gallon higher the next time I go to buy it. It is getting ready to spike. I think we're near the 2.70 a gallon mark right now, in ND, but some places have snuck in a certain amount of ethanol to offset their price, which will cause a significant decrease in mileage. (At lest in the vehicles we drive!) So, just curious. What's hapening on the West Coast, or across the USA?

In Colorado Springs, we pay $2.69 a gallon and it is only 85 not 87. So it is not cheap at all. i do not remember how much they charge us on 89! How's the fuel prices out there? I live in eureka, near the OR border and we know our prices are always higher than whatever the news is telling you is the highest price out there. Right now 3.35! I just drove through OR, WA, MT, ND, SD, WY, CO, UT and NV. All gas was under $3, as low as maybe 2.70 or so. I think twice I spent $3.05 in 6 wks. Once again, we know for sure we are getting screwed here in the boonies...

A few states we traveled throuh are a 100% ethanol state. (Ill. and Mt. are 2). There are some states that don't even have to announce that they have ethanol in the fuel. Though we get it for 5-10 cents less, it runs us 40% more to run in the RV. This year we've tracked the fuel, and latest mileage shows we get between 7.5 to 10.5 MPG with gas, and between 4.2 to 6 with Ethanol. SO, we fuel in many states with Shell V Power super unleaded, or Marathon Oil, which doesn't have ethanol. (except Ill. and MT.) It wouldn't be as bad if you were in a vehicle that gets 25+, but when it drops to 4.2, you are hating life!!!!
