I have spoken to a number of vendors this year who travel to AZ for some shows in winter/early spring. Just looking to see what's going on down there... I've been reading through these threads, but just wondering who can recommend some juried craft shows for that time of year (paula??). Are there any areas that are more arty farty or hippy dippy?? I know zero about shows in arizona.

I guess Jubilee Days in early Jan and Lettuce Days in late Jan. There's Lake Havasu's Winterfest in Feb. Since I am not doing Tyson Wells, I'll probably do Lettuce Days and maybe the one in early Jan in Yuma. Not great moneymakers and you have to realize mostly retirees are here. Lake Havasu does have a number of events and Winterfest draws the biggest crowds. Couple hundred vendors. 'Suktexas' did a number of shows in Arizona early this year.

if you want to do shows, do it in Jan - Mar and there are plenty of snow birds all over arizona. i guess anywhere is better business than any other months of the whole year. Mid January when the BIG RV show is, is about the best monies for the area. You may as well just pack up and go home otherwise. Many vendors are headed to Yuma and AVI and Parker instead, due to the blowing dust and bad attitudes of the City of Quartzsite. (9+% sales tax doesn't help either!!!) Just to let you all know. the weather has taken a turn in ND. We're supposed togetupwards to 10 inches of snow. Blizzard conditions, etc. The reason I bring this up? MANY Canadians, Washingtonians, and Oregonians have not left yet. When this happened 2 years ago, their RV's got buried in snow and they couldn't go South. That affected the money that was spent down there, because most of the people who were there, were 100% retired full timers, and no need for goodies, just a reason to walk around and get excersize.

I was thinking about doing the two shows in Yuma (Jubilee and Lettuce Days) but they have changed things around after the person in charge died last year. Jubilee Days (early Jan) was eliminated and supposedly replaced with a Pet Show. Makes me think that there had been a power struggle over the years and the new person in charge must be a dog lover. Doomed. Lettuce Days has been changed from that last weekend of Jan to around March 11-13. Don't know why but you know, 'If it ain't broke don't fix it' applies here. I never did it, but heard that it had been pretty decent.

Any one here in this group has done Parker, Lake Havasu, winkerburg shows? i would love to hear what their results are?
I think the snowbirds had finally arrive. there are many many people walking through the flea market in Mesa Market Place this weekend. Depend on what you sell, i guess one of the best sell is pop corn guide as i see many people walking and eating pop corn. other than that, i guess business finally start to pick up a lot more.

I heard numerous people would sell at Parker while selling at Tyson wells. The only thing I did in Havasu was the fair. it was pretty disasterous. They didn't have it together and the couple of inside vendors they managed to get, was treated retty sorry!

Hi again! Been a while since I've been around. I don't know where they went. I think there was a flea market or something that they would do once a month. We were stuck at QZ. so I never ventured out there to see how it looked.
