(well, not quite a North West show, but I didn't see any ther place to put it!) We have the possibility to sell at this fair. I know it is down town Indianapolis, but does any of you have any insite to this particular fair. IE heard of anyone else who has done it, etc. I talked to one person who did this and it was ~their~ bread and butter show. Not that it would be for everyone, but I am willing to try it once. A 10X20 space will run me 1600.00 and 25.00 a day for the RV park, and have to pay daily entry fee. With gas being in the $4.00 range, it will take a lot of profit to break even, but at least it is a longer show and I wont have to travel as much.

Well, I am sitting here getting ready to set it up and see how well it does!!!! Sorry no one commented, but I will do my best to give you some idea how well my first attempt at this show went. Headed immediately to 2 more shows after this one ends, so we're about to hop, but we hope that we do well.... :-) How is everyone else doing?!?!?!

Well, by now you all have seen and heard about the stage blowing over at 8:55 PM before Sugarland appeared on stage...Killing 5... Yeah... That's at the Indianapolis Fair.... Where we are selling. The only injuries and fatalities were at the concert itself. Though they closed the grounds down completely yesterday for investigation & to keep out the gawkers. (without any notification to the vendors until we got to the LOCKED gate and flaged down a cop to tell us!) There has been a helicoptor circling 24/7 since the accident. Today, they let everyone in free until 10AM and even had a memorial service, but it is positively desolate here. I don't think we've even made 100 dollars today. Dave, I've seen more bad things happen at events I've been at ~thanks to wind~ then I care to count. Though it is being stated that they had an announcement telling everyone to leave and go to the Pepsi colluseum because of the severe weather headed that way, ~AND NO ONE LEFT~ .

As soon as I heard about the incident, I thought about you. I'm glad to hear that you are okay and the damage was confined to the concert area. It looks like the entire country is having its share of bad weather. I did a show in Stockton this past weekend and this is the first event I have had this year where the wind hasn't come into play. Doesn't it seem like the weather has been getting more treacherous these past couple years? Anyhow, I guess that the wind is really the biggest weather element that we have to deal with at these shows. Of course, we have all seen some pretty heavy rains. Thank gosh we don't get much of it between April and November, except for this year. It is nice to be able to plan your schedule and know that it is definitely NOT going to rain. Good luck, Dave

One day left. Even with letting the crowd in free the past 2 days, and 1/2 price rides it is absolutely dead out there. The concerts have either been cancelled or moved to another location, so no one is going here. We've encountered rain ~of some kind~ almost daily on top of it all. I suppose we did well enough to go back next year, but this fair has not recovered. Now that another person has died as of yesterday. Glad this event is over. 2 more back to back to get to now!
